Abstract: People spend about 90% of their time indoors, so indoor air quality (IAQ) has a significant impact on their health. In public buildings, the most annoying room is usually the toilet, because of the bad gas in the toilet. But the toilet is also one of the rooms that people often use, according to the importance of its existence, it is necessary to measure the indoor air quality of the toilet. The purpose of this study was to investigate the indoor air quality of toilets in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The study assessed indoor air quality in two men's toilets in the university library and compared the results with previous studies that assessed indoor air quality in women's toilets. By analyzing the measurement data, the indoor air quality of the selected toilets was evaluated and some suggestions for improvement were given.
