dcterms.abstractPurpose: This research seeks to understand the key success factors for strategy implementation by boutique hotels from the perspectives of managers of boutique hotels in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Seventeen factors are investigated constituting five dimensions. Three of these may be categorized as internal process (strategy formulation, systematic execution, and control and follow-up) and two as actors (management, and corporate governance).en_US
dcterms.abstractDesign/methodology/approach: The research uses a qualitative method. In-depth interviews based on the grounded theory approach recommended by Strauss and Corbin (1998) are conducted with managers of boutique hotels in Chiang Mai. The in-depth interviews attempt to get insights on the key success factors for strategy implementation from the perspectives of the hotel management.en_US
