Abstract: China is playing an important role in the world since it becomes to be the member of WTO. This brings more and more investors to China from all over the world. Now China is the best investment area for the famous transnational corporation. More and more business trips will make the demand of the hotels. Business traveler is the potential market of the hotel. There are a lots difference demands between business traveler and tour traveler. This study provided an overall review and analysis of the previous literature on business traveler selection criteria. The study would be included: 1) the information channel of the hotel (how can the business travelers know the hotel) 2) reservation channel 3) business traveler selection criteria. 4) The relationship between the hotel selection and business traveler personal elements. 5) The affect of the scenic spot and hotel promotion. This study chooses the five-star hotel in Hangzhou as the sample place. All analysis is based on the questionnaire of 189 travelers. The finding is that the major factors affecting the business traveler are facilities of guest room in good condition; cleanness; efficiency of check-in/check-out; cotton goods in guest room; hotel's location—convenient of communication. Also, suggestion and the limitation re listed in the paper.
