dcterms.abstractAs we all know, there is a keen competitive environment in PC industry - e.g. the merger of HP & Compaq to enable itself to be a market leader in PC industry. In addition, the product life cycle is going to shorter and shorter - e.g. 3-4 months will launch a new PC model. In this paper, we intend to analyze the complex issues that PC's maintenance companies face in managing their worse nightmare - Reverse Logistics. The paper primary highlight is the importance of inventory management in maintenance servicing company relating to reverse logistics. Part of the paper was to illustrate the challenges of PC maintenance industry face and how to manage them effective and efficient way. To accomplish this task, we interviewed the leading PC companies' logistics specialists in Hong Kong and examined their reverse logistics workflow and operation. The key objective is to find out the best practice among them.en_US
