Abstract: The continuous development of the catering industry in China brings in more opportunities and challenges for franchising. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors affecting the franchising of the international and indigenous enterprises through the three methods, namely literature review, in-depth interviews and factors analysis. These factors include business culture, operation ideas, management model, talent policy and service-oriented behavior. Through the gap analysis about the comparison between the foreign and national brands, the study also explores the ways to solve the above problems.
