Supply chain management systems through intraneten_US
This dissertation aims at studying the integration of Supply Chain Management Systems through the application of information technology in Intranet (ISCMS). Contributing factors and barriers in the successful implementation ISCMS were also identified. Principal component analysis and structural modeling analysis were applied to survey data to identify the perception of these factors in the implementation of the intranet enabled supply chain management systems. Based on our survey results, we have found that all the exogenous constructs of top management commitment, communication, data security, technology and training are positively correlated with the successful implementation of Intranet enhanced supply chain management systems. In addition, the model also indicated that competitive advantage is not directly derived from the implementation of ISCMS but only through the organization efficiency to achieve the end result of competitive advantage.en_US
