Abstract: In this report, a number of spatial and transform based watermarks are studied and compared. In particular, two common spatial watermarks and the DCT watermark are selected to be further investigated and performed experimental analysis. The optimal DCT coefficient range, scale factor and watermark sequence are proved by simulation. More than 45 watermark sequences are simulated and examined. With the experimental analysis, the Spatial Bipolar Stepwise watermark and Adaptive Watermark Casting are proposed. Both of them can improve the robustness and detect ability of the watermark.
