dcterms.abstractIn traditional and today's life, festival is how we incarnate our culture to others; it can express the good image of the city to improve the reputation and to generate income for the city. Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival play a very important role in the city's economical development and it is the main income resources for the city. Along with globalization development and people in Harbin begin to focus on tourism, more and more people would like to go out of their hometown and country to explore business opportunity from tourism products, such as Ice and Snow Tourism^ Forest Tourism ^ Mountain Tourism. Harbin is a city with deep potential. And after years development it has developed a special Ice and Snow tourism market and a high reputation of being an Ice and Snow destination. When Harbin's tourism is growing, problem arise. There are competitions from some other cities in China and the reason is Harbin as an Ice and Snow destination does not have the real brand, the tourism market is shared. In November, 2005, water pollution happened in the city lead to losing many tourists because the city lacks of the service abilities. Harbin should explore the Ice and Snow resources, introduce the special products, enhance the advertisement, and build the real brand of Harbin as an Ice and Snow destination, strengthening the ice and snow tourism market to become a famous Tourism city in the world. The research is based on the followings: 1) Summarizing based on the domestic and international literature to analysis the ice and snow resources in Harbin. 2) Using the methodology of questionnaire to do the statistic, this includes four parts, the structure of the samples, character of this travel to Harbin, the understanding and favor of the Harbin ice and snow resources, and the advices. Using SPSS to analyze and explain each data, consequently getting the conclusion. 3) To appraise and suggest integrating with the real situation of the Harbin ice and snow tourism market.en_US
