Abstract: This is an individual project for the partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Business Administration awarded by the Hong Kong Polytechnic. This project is a survey on the management education needs of professional managers in the local construction industry. The target groups of professionals are senior managers who are professionally qualified in their own expert fields related to construction industry and who are holding senior positions in their organisations. The survey was done by data and information collection through questionnaire. Because of limited resources, this survey is by no means a large scale research and the result of which should only be regarded as an indicative reflection of the attitude of a small group of senior professionals within the industry. All information and analysis are presented in this report. This report contains two sections - I & II. Section I consists of 4 chapters mainly covering some general discussion of the theoretical framework, a description of the local industry and the professional managers role, the research hypothesis, methodology and limitation. Section II consists of 3 chapters covering the findings and analysis which form the main part of this project. Conclusion and Recommendation is also contained in the last part of this section which serves as a summary of findings.
