dcterms.abstractThis report is a case study of the transformation of Danish Trading Co. Ltd. (DTC) from a general middleman role to direct investor in China after the Asian Financial Crisis and before the China's accession to WTO. This case study illustrates how a trading company turnaround and restructure in order to survive and prepare for the new challenge after China enter WTO. The case study also shows that the role of Hong Kong trading company need to be changed from general commission middleman role to more valued added marketing service provider or direct investor in China market.en_US
