Abstract: This research takes the employees and their direct supervisors of China Mobile Tianjin Company and Tianjin Post Office as research objects. The present research examines the relationship among paternalistic leadership (PL) , subordinate psychological responses, work performance, organizational citizenship behavior(including OCBO and OCBI), professional power and positional power by using quantitative analysis. On the basis of literature review and theoretical framework, we designed questionnaires and performed surveys among the employees and their supervisors. We have sent 688 questionnaires in total, and collected 558 ones, 503 pieces of which were available. After coding and imputing data, with AMOS and SPSS, we performed factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, structural equation modeling, and concluded some findings. There are some important findings about the thesis. Firstly, the three dimensions of PL have positive effects on the three dimensions of subordinate psychological responses: authoritarian leadership to fear and resentment, benevolent leadership to gratitude and repayment, moral leadership to respect and identification. What's more, fear and resentment is negatively related to OCBO; respect and identification is positively related to OCBO, OCBI, and work performance. The other relationships among subordinate psychological responses and performance behaviors have not been proved. Secondly, fear and resentment is the mediator between authoritarian leadership and OCBO; respect and identification is the mediator between moral leadership and OCBO, OCBI, and performance. Thirdly, power has no moderate effect between authoritarian leadership and OCBO, OCBI, and performance. In theory contribution, this thesis tries to test paternalistic leadership using systemic quantitative analysis technology, and extends scope of statistical technology application to management study. In management application, the research paper exerts psychology, sociology and management theory on enterprise practical problems.
