Abstract: Avon Cosmetics (Far East Buying Office) Ltd. (abbr. FEBO) is a buying office that serves her mother company, Avon Products Inc. worldwide. The buying office is responsible for all the sourcing and producing in the Far East areas. FEBO has her own purchasing,, engineering, quality and logistics functions. In the quality field, FEBO is now having a system of Supplier Visit Evaluation Report for potential suppliers. Another system, Annual Supplier Evaluation System is tailor made for the suppliers that are having business with FEBO. However, there is no document in the company to consolidate all these measures into one effective system. Some measures are not well prepared to perform their functions. A new Supplier Assessment System is re-written by consolidating all relating activities in FEBO and organizing them in a systematic manner. Some existing measures are reviewed and modified to get a better result. The next step to enhance the partnership between FEBO and her suppliers is Certification. Certification increases the responsibility of suppliers and enhance co-operation.
