| dcterms.abstract | Business process reengineering is not only purely related to the change of operation procedure and the job flow of a company, but is more an information-technology centric approach to business process. In a corporate merger, there arise many organization structure and system changes during the transition period. This involves integration process for incorporating the company objective to reducing operation cost, improving the productivity and reducing headcount in order to increase the competitive edge in this dynamic market. The author uses a case study approach to evaluate how IT infrastructure attributes to the success of a BPR project regarding to a company merger, and propose an IS solution to cope with the company change for improving the overall operation performance. Operation process analysis and quantitative survey methodologies are chosen for gathering user requirements in the system re-engineering process. | en_US |
