Abstract: Advanced technologies give benefits to business. This research attempts to use a system development on application in credit card judgement in Aeon Credit Service (Asia) Co Ltd to study the applicability of knowledge based decision support system in finance field, in particular the credit card industry. Based on the literature review, concepts in management information systems, decision process are depicted. Framework of Decision Support System, Expert System, issues in knowledge representation, inference engine and search technique has also been denoted. Prototype of KB-DSS in credit card judgement processing has been worked out. The process of credit judgement is presented with the use of objects. Evaluation of the system is conducted through questionnaire with the users and management. It is agreed that such system can speed up process and produce result similar with that from human expert. It also create a transparent view to the credit policy for the company. To conclude, it is generalized that KB-DSS can benefit the credit card industry, in particular when other advanced technologies are integrated.
