dcterms.abstractTaking China auto component parts industry as an example, and regarding China as a host country, this study integrates interorganizational trust and knowledge absorptive capacity to its research framework, the two significant factors that have impact on the efficiency of inter-corporation knowledge transfer and knowledge utilization. This paper analyzes the process of knowledge transfer between domestic corporations and the affiliations of multinational corporations. Based on the previous literature, this study applies the relevant questionnaires to measure knowledge transferring process, and applies appropriate performance assessing indexes to analyze the impact of knowledge transfer on corporate performance. Before drawing any conclusions, this study adopts factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis to research the collected data. The study found that after controlinging the effect of the control variables, absorptive capacity and interorganizational trust have a positive effect on the degree of knowledge transfer form foreign firms to domestic firms. Interorganizational trust alse modrated the relationship between absorptive capacity and knowledge transfer. The postive relationship between absorptive capacity and knowledge transfer is stronger when trust is higher. This relationship is weaker when trust is lower. Knowledge transfer is regarded as an intermediate variable. In the aspect of academic research, this study considers interorganizational trust as an important variable for corporations in developing countries to learn from the affiliations of multinational corporations. By conducting empirical research, it is an important supplement to the previous study of inter-cultural knowledge transfer. This study indicates more insight to the research of knowledge transfer in network organization among multinational corporations, which is not well developed currently, and stimulates complete research on knowledge transfer. In this study, the important prerequisites for the host country to learn from the affiliations of multinational corporations include the confidence from multinational corporations and the absorptive capacities of domestic corporations. This conclusion enriches the theoretical mechanism for developing countries in the use of foreign capital. In the aspect of application, based on the perspective of host country, this study quotes a large number of samples and cases in the analysis of knowledge transfer from affiliates of multinational corporations to domestic corporations. It provides both theoretical and practical guidance to strategies of knowledge transfer in developing countries, and provides methods and solutions to properly use intellectual properties. Regarding China auto component parts industry as its object, the study has compensated for the lack of data of Chinese auto industry in empirical research on the knowledge transfer of multinational corporations.en_US
