Abstract: In many individuals' opinions, Hong Kong is a cultural desert. However, actually, there are not just a few reading- enthusiasts living or wanting to go to Hong Kong, so a lack of effective communicating and propagandizing platforms of bookstores is an urgent problem. The traveling-tips of Hong Kong bookstore is offer asked, however, there is no particular system designed for this kind of tourists. The system established in this research emphasizes abundant information, geographical location display and latest activities announcement of Hong Kong bookstores for modern literate tourists. JavaScript is used in this system development and MySQL, as an open source relational database management system. Moreover, Mybatis, which has biggest advantage of simplicity to develop relational mapping tools, this data mapper framework makes it easier to use a relational database with object-oriented applications. For the practical situation of data collection and field visit, Google API is applied into map display and path navigation development. Finally, I choose Tomcat 6 to publish the website for advanced technology, stable performance, and free. This thesis introduces the Hong Kong Book stores touring system not only contain the integration of the old and new bookstore information, especially for the second-floor bookstores, but also devote to apply GIS technology (map view and real-time navigation) to get the system more vivid and practical. What’s more, the 360 degree indoor panoramic view technology is put into use in this system to make users fell personally on the scene. All the research content provides a proper method for the similar system.
