| dcterms.abstract | An empirical study was conducted to examine the part-time messengers turnover intention and to portray a turnover prediction model. 50 part-time bill delivery messengers were participated in the present study and answered the self-administered questionnaire. Among the five independent variables in the research framework, personal factors and met expectations did not directly associate with turnover intention. Job satisfaction, occupational commitment and organizational commitment were negatively and significantly factors in predicting turnover intention. It is observed that respondents are satisfied with the part-time job, has moderate occupational and organizational commitment and has low turnover intention. Turnover prediction model is then constructed by 5 predictors viz. : occupational affective commitment, career future, financial rewards, organizational commitment and physical work conditions. The variables of financial rewards and physical work conditions were further proved to be moderators in predicting turnover intention. It is concluded that a sustainable employees retention program should emphasis on the intrinsic fulfillment rather than extrinsic satisfaction. | en_US |
