| dcterms.abstract | News headlines are the most direct and all-sided presentations of news contents to catch more readers' attention and reach a broader influence of the news information. There are billions pieces of news appearing in all kinds of news medium which not only deliver the information and knowledge which readers are in, but also inspire scholars to do investigations and studies on them from different angles. A phenomenon may be easily found that some headlines leave deep impression on us and be popularized for a pretty long period, while some pass away and will never be mentioned. There must be some reasons on the two-side life of news headlines. The present work studies the news headlines from memetic perspective in order to give some explanations on the question mentioned above. At the same time, the author tries to find some inspirations on the translation strategies on news headlines' English-Chinese translation. | en_US |
