| dcterms.abstract | 技术进步与组织创新总是相伴而行(Schumpeter, 1939)，现有文献中有关公司治理对技术创新影响的研究成果很多(如: Jensen和Meckling, 1976; Tylecote和Conesa, 1999; Cantista和Tylecote, 2008, 等)，然而有关社会技术进步对公司战略和组织创新的影响却极为罕见。本文以1976年一2012年期间财富500强中的美国公司为样本，以熊彼特的创新理论为出发点，以资源基础理论为基础，研究社会技术进步与公司多元化战略的关系，以及公司多元化战略对公司的存续的影响。经济周期理(Schumpeter, 1939, 1942)将技术进步作为经济发展的动力和根本原因(Schumpeter, 1939; Romar, 1986; Freeman, 1987等)。技术进步带来新的产品、新的工艺、新的组织和新的制度。资源基础理论(Wernefelt , 1984; Rumelt, 1984; Barney, 1986a)认为公司的生存和发展需要资源，而社会技术进步所带来的各种新事物是任何公司都不可忽视的新资源。公司利用社会技术进步寻找新的发展和生存契机，不可避免地引起公司战略的变化，而多元化战略则是公司应对环境变化时最常采用的战略(Teece et al, 1997; Silverman, 1999; Christensen, 1997, 2004)。多元化战略可细分为行业多元化和地域多元化(国际化)。本文发现技术进步与公司行业多元化和地域多元化的关系呈非线性关系，总体而言技术进步促进公司的行业多元化战略以及地域多元化战略的发展，但是技术进步的各项指标对公司多元化的影响不尽相同。实证检验证明国家技术研发投入与公司的多元化战略具有显著因果关系，而另外两个技术进步指标与多元化的因果关系并不显著。本文还研究了行业多元化及地域多元化对公司业绩和存续的影响。实证分析结果显示多元化战略有利于公司销售总额的增加，但是对公司利润增长作用并不显著。此外，我们还发现多元化与公司存续相互作用，一方面多元化战略有利于公司的存续;另一方面，公司存续的时间越长，其行业多元化和地域多元化的程度也就越高。 | en_US |
