Abstract: Along with the rapid development of railway system, the vibration problems are more serious, which influence the riding comfort and damage components of vehicle-track system. It has important effect on the safety and stability of vehicle operation. In this paper, the vertical vibration problems are studied based on the simplified model of vehicle-track coupling dynamics and Simulink simulation. The main content about this paper as the following : Firstly, the research background of vehicle-track coupling dynamics is introduced, and the research category and methodology are discussed in depth. On this basis, a simplified model of vehicle-track vertical coupling dynamics is established in order to better characterize the wheel-rail interaction and apply to the engineering practice. Secondly, in order to reflect the actual situation of the wheel-rail contact vibration, the dip-joint and corrugation excitation models are established according to their classifications and principles. And I use the Hertzian elastic contact theory to establish the wheel-rail contact equations and the mathematical model is simulated by Simulink. Next, in order to simulate the vehicle operation, this paper assumes that the train runs on different length and depth dip-joint or corrugation rails with different vehicle speed. The wheel forces and the accelerations of different components are calculated to evaluate the influence of the vibration on different vehicle operation conditions. Besides, I compare my figures with other publications, which proves that my model is correct and effective. And the curves are also compared to the data made by the actual measured in Mass Rapid Transport. My results are both consistent with the publications and the actual measurements. Finally, there is a conclusion to evaluate the dynamic performances of the vehicle-track coupling system and put forward the standards of the vehicle-track matching design. Furthermore, in view of more track irregularity problems, I come up with the future research directions to perfect this simplified model.
