Performance analysis on ethereum and hyperledger fabricen_US
In recent years, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) has received great attention in the financial industry. The development of DLT computing architecture represents an important revolution in record-keeping through changing how information is gathered and communicated. In this computing architecture, we no longer need a common server. This architectural framework enhances the capability of record-keeping by better cryptography, advanced algorithms, stronger computing power, and more ubiquitous operating environment. Different DLT platforms have been developed to serve different needs of different industries. In this dissertation, we would like to provide a technical review of the DLT technologies with the objective to examine how the technologies are being used to protect the records. Further, we create a use case Mobile Intercloud with Blockchain to test the performance of the DLT platform. In this thesis, we also discuss the difficulties of collaborative editing without having a common server. To address this issue, we propose a co-editing protocol and develop a prototype that allows people sharing their work over a blockchain platform. To show applicability of our prototype, we would test it on two popular DLT platforms - Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric and evaluate its performance on both platforms.en_US
