Investigation of railway-based radar for slope stability monitoringen_US
Ground-based radar is usually at its best when monitoring small-scale targets like buildings, small urban area or single hillsides and achieve accuracy in sub-millimeters to millimeters level. However, when it comes to large scale surveying work, ground-based radar has its limitations. Therefore, there is a tendency to implement ground-based radar on vehicles or trains to fulfill large scale surveying work. This study used the GPRI-II ground-based radar system, an Inertial Navigation System, an electric vehicle and a rail track to simulate the real situation of implement the radar system on a moving vehicle platform. The study provided two methods for Single Look Complex images co-registration and interferogram generation, giving the basic image processing methods for railway-based radar slope monitoring.en_US
