dc.title | Integrating agent-based simulation with 3D modelling for improving building safety | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | A simulation environment can be built by some sofeware based on the multi-agent simulation platform. An Evacuation Simulation Model (ESM) of a multi-story student dormitory can be built and human behaviour simulation like gathering, aligning, walking out of a room and going downstairs can be achieved through programming, therefore, to plan the personnel walking path and to study the impacts on the evcuation time with different number of people, exist conditions, the location of staircase and safety supervisors. The results show: the number of people on each floor and the width of exit show less influence on total evacuation time while the relationship between the location of staircase and evacuation time is much closer. And safety supervisors can obviously improve the evacuation efficiency. The conclusions of this study can provide feasible recommendations for designing large-scale complex high-rise buildings, personnel emergency evacuation and emergency management. | en_US |
