Abstract: | A bed-based task/ambient air conditioning (TAC) system combined with radiant cooling system will achieve different operational effects in a sleep environment. The supply air temperature, supply air velocity and surface temperature of the radiant panel will be changed in this numerical study. The simulation will be used to obtain a comprehensive optimal solution for thermal comfort, indoor air quality and energy efficiency in the sleeping environment. Therefore, Predicted Mean Vote (PMV), the mean age of air (MAA), and energy utilization coefficient (EUC) will be evaluated and they will influence the optimal solution with corresponding weights. In the meanwhile, contour maps of air temperature and air velocity, draft risk in measurement points will also be output to conduct some analysis by simulation. The whole Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation has been carried out by software in Ansys Family. |
