dcterms.abstractThe vehicular network is an important part of an intelligent transportation system (ITS). It can provide vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications, which makes ITS application have connectivity and feasibility. This thesis studies the contents of three areas of the Internet of vehicles: efficient firmware distribution in vehicular networks, digital twins for vehicular networks, and channel estimation for the vehicular environment. These three parts are independent and closely related to each other. Firmware distribution is the construction and implementation of vehicular networks. This part proposes an efficient data transmission algorithm based on fountain code. Digital twins are a real-time hardware and software simulation of vehicular networks, which can collect data while controlling and observing vehicular networks. Channel estimation is an algorithm specially designed for the highly variable wireless channel environment of the Internet of vehicles. This thesis proposes a variety of algorithms and methods, compares the experimental results. According to the correlation of these three parts, two kinds of vehicular networking applications, emergency vehicle broadcasting and channel estimation based on digital twins, are proposed.en_US
