Abstract: In recent years, the merits of outdoor thermal comfort have become a common concern for residents and the government, while the assessment of outdoor thermal comfort is a complex process, as human comfort is influenced by multiple factors. Urban parks, as a pioneer of urban greening whose mechanism of enhancing environmental thermal comfort highly needs to be investigated. Therefore, this research is conducted in Victoria Park during the transition season between spring and summer, and four measurement sites (Water fountain, central lawn, bandstand, and pebble walking trial) are selected to do the field study, trying to assess the outdoor thermal comfort of the park and compare the mitigation effect of water body, vegetation, geometry. The findings of this study might provide valuable information for architects, landscape architects, and urban planners, as well as could be applied in architectural design to build a more pleasant public place.
