dcterms.abstract | A smart strategy to enhance the security of building sites is to adopt and place into impact innovative ideas. The readying of technology has received tons of attention over the past twenty years as a preventative live to lower the discovered disproportionate variety of employee fatalities and injuries within the industry compared to alternative industrial sectors. Previous analysis has underlined the requirement to lift the extent of understanding concerning the relevance and value of technologies for OSH management in the construction industry, likewise because the challenges and restraints to technology utilization in the industry. This study aims to investigate the practicableness of maximising the applying of various technologies for OSH management within the metropolis industry by 1) Identifying the most popular technologies utilized globally for OSH management in the construction industry, 2) Identifying and analysing the benefits and limitations of the technologies that are suitable for OSH management in the Hong Kong construction industry, and 3) Determine the potential and existing barriers to utilizing technologies for OSH management and propose possible solutions to conquer the barriers. The survey received responses from 68 construction professionals who had relevant information about technology usage inside their firm. The study's findings indicate that while acceptance and use of technology for OSH management in construction have increased slightly as a result of technology's potential to enhance safety conditions, there is still significant industry resistance to its ongoing usage. The study's findings offer academics and practitioners in the field useful knowledge on the difficulties in implementing new technologies and the hurdles to acceptance, as well as solutions to these problems. The use of technology for safety management in the construction sector is anticipated to increase with the removal of implementation constraints and acceptance hurdles. | en_US |
