Abstract: | The complexity of electrical system in building is rising in modern day. Lightning is a nature electromagnetic phenomenon that often occurs. The sensitive indoor electronics is weak to face huge current like lightning current. To prevent damage cause by lightning, lightning protection system (LPS) is installed to redirect the current flow. Unlike vacuum tubes, advance electronics function at a low current, low voltage state can be easily damaged by the strong electromagnetic fields cause by lightning. In this study, a simulation is constructed to investigate the indoor electromagnetic environment. The result show that certain area in both cases, field intensity is stronger. The bonded steel frame LPS is preferable to use. |
