This paper aims to investigate the multifaceted realm of sustainable building practices in Hong Kong, with a specific focus on evaluating the implementation and influence of integrating renewable energy sources and green building certification within the city's construction sector.en_US
dcterms.abstractThe adoption of sustainable building practices in Hong Kong encompasses various aspects, including the adoption of green building certification. In order to enhance energy efficiency, the government has introduced sustainable building standards, most recently encouraging the use of innovative technologies to promote sustainability. One of the main incentives was the promotion of green building certification schemes, such as the BEAM Plus and LEED, which has incentivized environmentally friendly buildings through recognition. Despite significant progress, challenges remain in the widespread adoption of sustainable building practices in Hong Kong.en_US
