When lightning strikes a building, the electromagnetic interference it causes can pose a great challenge to the operation of electronic equipment in the building and pose a significant risk to the power system and electronic equipment.en_US
dcterms.abstractThe focus of this study is to measure the magnitude and distribution of induced currents and voltages in a building under lightning pulses through the FDTD method by modelling the building and power system in the XFdtd software and to measure and compare the magnetic induction strengths at different spatial locations of the building when it is subjected to lightning strikes.en_US
dcterms.abstractBy simulating and analysing the electromagnetic environment in the building, it is possible to achieve the optimisation of the location of intelligent communication equipment in the building to reduce the damage of secondary electromagnetic radiation caused by lightning-induced electromagnetic waves to the power system and electronic equipment.en_US
