Abstract: This study aims to explore how to balance energy efficiency and thermal comfort by improving the design of the showerhead, Through a modeling approach, which refines and simplifies Munir's previous model, and extensive experimental data analysis, it hopes to investigate the impacts of different parameter combinations of water-efficiency showerheads, which are classified according to the regulation of the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme(WELS),on the heat transfer coefficient of skin surface during showering, thereby elucidating the relationship between skin surface and heat transfer coefficient during showers.
This research will focus on three parameters: the water flow rate, the water temperature and the water flow distribution. And the methodology for analyzing the relationship between these parameters and the heat transfer coefficient involves one-way analysis, linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The ultimate goal of this investigation is to leverage this knowledge for technological advancements in showerhead design. The results of this experiment will provide scientific evidence and recommendations for the water temperature range and flow restrictions of thermostatic showers in newly built or renovated apartments and public bathrooms.
