Abstract: | In recent years, urbanization and industrialization have been growing, making cities more and more populous. At the same time, it also makes the temperature of the city rise significantly. As residential neighborhoods are highly populated areas in cities, thermal comfort inside the neighborhoods is particularly important. The experimental site selected for this study is located inside a public housing estate in Hong Kong. An infrared camera was used to measure the building façade temperatures inside the neighborhood on a time-by-time basis, and the collected data were used to verify the feasibility of the numerical simulation software in predicting the building façade temperatures. The relationship between the building façade temperature and the intensity of solar radiation, the orientation of the building facade and the different heights of the building facade were obtained. The numerical simulation model can also predict the trend of building facade temperature changes. |
