Abstract: | This dissertation attempts to study the speculation about Mark Six. Investigation will be undertaken to identify the winning strategies and their effects on the probability of winning a prize. It is a better strategy to separate the numbers into groups to obtain a better bound for winning the second or better prize. However, it is a poor strategy for third or lower prizes. The basic setting of Mark Six may be chaotic instead of random. Since the initial situation is almost the same, past data may show a certain relation of the drawn numbers. We may use the probability, statistical and combinatorial analysis to reduce the odds and maximize the gain. The outcomes of this study will hopefully, apart from contributing towards a better understanding of the odds of winnings, serve the purpose of meeting the interests and needs of both players and the general public. |
