dcterms.abstractExtracellular vesicles (EVs) are crucial for intercellular communication and are involved in the development of cancer, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases. They hold potential as diagnostic biomarkers, therapeutic agents, and medicine carriers. Vesicles from edible plants have shown anti-tumor effects and are easy to obtain. However, the industrialization of exosomes requires efficient methods for their extraction, concentration, and purification. This study presents the development of an automated exosome extraction and concentration system, including the design of hardware and software, prototype manufacturing, and performance evaluation. The system successfully extracted exosomes from human adipose-derived stem cells and plant extracts, showing superior performance to traditional methods. Additionally, a micro-chip was developed for the precise and automated extraction and purification of small amounts of exosomes. The findings offer practical solutions to several technical challenges in the exosome industrialization process. By developing the systems and micro-chips that outperform traditional methods, this study provides a robust framework that could accelerate the adoption and scalability of exosome technologies in clinical and industrial applications.en_US
