Abstract: The Metaverse represents a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem that integrates virtual and physical realities, enabling immersive interactions, creative expression, and dynamic experiences. This thesis explores three foundational aspects critical to advancing the Metaverse: multilingual digital humans, music-driven group dance, and generative 3D environments.
In the domain of Multilingual Digital Humans, we develop techniques for lifelike avatar communication, integrating advanced speech-to-lip synchronization and multilingual text-to-speech synthesis to ensure realism and inclusivity. For Music-Driven Group Dance, we present ArtGDance, an innovative framework that generates synchronized and expressive group dance movements using AI-driven choreography and diffusion-based models. In Generative Metaverse Environments, we propose ArtArchitect, a system for creating expansive, visually coherent, and interactive 3D virtual worlds by addressing challenges like boundary artifacts and geometric inconsistencies.
Together, these contributions enable the creation of intelligent, interactive, and scalable avatars and environments, fostering enhanced user experiences in the Metaverse. The methodologies and frameworks presented in this thesis lay the foundation for future innovations in entertainment, education, and virtual communication.
