| dcterms.abstract | Over or aggressive developed tourism resources, inefficient management to the tourism attraction, and the irrational expansion of the tourism facilities construction all rapidly destroy the tourism environment quality and directly threat to the tourism for long-term development. This threat has promoted an important revolution in the tourism industry as the tourism sustainable development. Since the 1980s return to the nature, protect the eco-environment has become a modern fashion and responsibility for the people, such a model is called ecotourism. This model for the travel purpose of protecting the environment has received more and more tourists enjoyment. Eco-tourism has been in China for decades, but the current eco-tourism products are not suitable for tourists to form polite co-tourism awareness. The purpose of this study is to identify the eco-tourists tourism awareness, to analyze the relation between the eco-tourism awareness and demographic factors, and to provide information for tourism organizations carrying out suitable policy, and for eco-tourism product suppliers and eco-tourism service departments develop tailor-made eco-tourism education programs and improve the travel quality. Eco-tourism awareness refers to the tourism resources or environment protection awareness during tourist being in their trip. The research respondents were the tourists who were at eco-tourism destinations or have bought the eco-tourism products. Use the survey questionnaires as the survey instrument, the research collected the primary data from one of the national standard natural protection areas---WoLong Nature Protect Area, Sichuan Province. The finding shows that most of the tourists concerning the tourism environment problem and know the importance of the tourism resources and environment protection: but there are significance differences between knowledge and self-activities orientation, that their ecotourism concern activities are significantly weak than their knowledge. Many factors have influenced the results, such as the social and economic factors, personal factors as the age education level, income, in these factors higher educational level implies more higher ecotourism awareness, and the relation between age and ecotourism awareness showed that younger' and elders' have higher ecotourism awareness than the middle age people, the income level tend to influence the ecotourism awareness but not in ratio, lowest income lead to low awareness, but higher income does not tend to be high awareness. | en_US |
