| dcterms.abstract | In Hong Kong, the rapid development of construction project and increasing complexity of construction project create the need of an effective management tool. Project management is a management approach, which achieves the project objectives by using the project management practice such as planning and control. Most of construction project completed with time overrun, over-budget and poor quality. During the construction project management, there are many factors affecting the performance of the construction project. Project manager's involvement is one of variables affecting the project performance. This paper studied the relationship between project manager's involvement and project performance. It first describes the involvement of project manager and then determines the relationship between the project manager's involvement and project performance. Data were obtained from 54 project managers by using questionnaires, interview and direct observations. The statistical analysis's suggested that the increase in the project manager's involvement will improve the project performance. | en_US |
