Diagnostic expert system for laser plotteren_US
This project "Diagnostic Expert System for Laser Plotter" is to develop an expert system to assist the field engineers and the customers to solve the problems associated with the laser plotter. This machine is a demanding machine in the PCB manufacturing. The project is divided into several stages. In the first stage, we overviewed the current customer support department and found that the field engineers may face a problem on accessing the Product Expert when they stuck at customer site. So developing a diagnostic system to help the engineers in fixing the machine is essential. In the second stage, we carried out the feasibility study to identify whether the Expert System was possible, justified and appropriated. The results showed positive, and an object-oriented with rule-base reasoning programming environment was chosen as the expert system developing tool. In the third stage, we studied more deeply in the Expert System technologies and concluded that the rule-based knowledge representation with backward chaining for inferencing should be used in the diagnostic system. And the last stage was to implement this diagnostic system with the software named Kappa-PC , that is running in MS Window 97 or above.en_US
