dc.title | A study of crisis preparation management in Hong Kong companies : the case of bird flu | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | The SARS disaster killed more than 100 lives in Hong Kong, and jeopardized many business operations. Most research on Crisis Management has emphasised the study of crisis management during and after crises. It is believed that preparedness for crises should play an important part in crisis Management. This exploratory research studies major factors believed to affect crisis preparation in Hong Kong Companies, using the case of Bird Flu. In the light of data gathered in six case studies of Hong Kong firms in the context of preparing for a potential future outbreak of Bird Flu, a model, highlighting key drivers of crisis preparation activity, is developed. | en_US |
