A study of supply chain partner's relationship and performance in Asiaen_US
Many managers in Asia now acknowledge that a company's success is tied, in part, to the strength of its weakest supply chain partner. Due to stronger bargaining power, buyers were more able to achieve short-term performance measures than sellers were. Asia based companies were at a much difficult position to achieve better supply chain performance than non-Asia based companies, this may related to different culture, educational background and management style between east and the west. Long-term supply chain performance was far more difficult to achieve than short-term goals and that relationship factors were ineffective to achieve these long-term goals and hence difficult to promote collaboration. However, company relationship was far more dominant than individual relationship in achieving short-term supply chain performance.en_US
