dcterms.abstractHealth and safety management in hotels is a major and complex matter issues. Yet, that is why it needs explanation. Through the interviews with the hotel key personnels in five local hotels, various types of risks and its identification procedures are outlined. It is important to understand the organisation structure for the implementation of health and safety management and the related limitation and resistance during implementation. The interviews also reveal that hotel management have adopted the "Total Quality Management" concept on their implementation of health and safety management in their hotels. The best system will work only with the appropriate human resources with the positive attitude from senior management and rank and file employees. We also identity the various critical factors contributing to the success or failure of the health and safety implementation in hotels.en_US
