dcterms.abstractWith revenue management in the aviation industry developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results, the hotel industry has recently paid more attention on revenue management and has gradually achieved considerable development over this. Many international hotels have uses yield management system and have been very successful in raising the average occupancy rate of hotels and the economic benefits. However, in China, management of the hotel receipts is still in the infancy stage. Hangzhou is one of the best tourist cities in China; its hotel revenue management has to a certain extent reflects the progress of revenue management in the China's hotel industry. This study reviewed theories with practical application mentioned by Chinese and foreign scholars. It also used questionnaire to investigate the revenue management aspects from the management of four and five-star hotels in Hangzhou with the aid of SPSS and its associated functions - mean analysis, Factor analysis and one-way ANOVA analysis. According to the results of the analysis, four and five hotels in Hangzhou revenue management situation were further interpreted and project the outlook for the future.en_US
