dc.title | Developing effective tools and methodologies for controlling Scrum processes | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Over the past years, agile and iterative software development approaches are becoming a fashion. However, their process control is weaker than the traditional development methodologies (for example Waterfall approach), and this is a challenge to project management with agile approaches. Scrum approach is a kind of agile methodology. In this dissertation below, I abstracted a certain amount of data of development process in a project, and analyzed the reason why there is a huge gap between estimating workload and actual workload. Based on the data, I compared the Scrum approach and Waterfall approach, measured Scrum approach by using CMMI key areas, and I also refined the key points for process controlling, and put forward a proposal for process control. The research findings would be useful for organizations that have their plan driven process based on Scrum approach and are planning to improve their processes towards agility, moreover, would help organizations to define a new project management framework. | en_US |
