Abstract: I have been working in DCH for the past few years. The company is a China invested enterprise. While the majority of employees are Hongkonger, we have numbers of western managers. Through our daily work and communication, I found that we have cultural differences as well as level of job satisfaction difference. I would like to take this opportunity to found out if there are any direct relationships between the two in a scientific way. Job satisfaction comes from promotion, supervisory and salary. These aspects are valued differently due to Culture differences, referring to 4 ingredients, Confucian Work Dynamism, discipline, Human heartedness and Integration. My study found that Western Manager are more affected by the first two ingredients and Hong Kong managers are more affected by the last two. With the understanding of how cultural differences job satisfaction level, employers can efficiently and effectively improve employee's job satisfaction level by adopting differ management skills across the cultures.
