An empirical study on financial management practices among Hong Kong listed companiesen_US
With a changeable Hong Kong economy and the continuous innovation of derivative products, the financing practices of Hong Kong companies seem to change responsively. In the first 10 months of 1993, Hong Kong listed companies completed a total of four convertible preference share and nine Euro-convertible bond issues. This made a record in the history of the Hong Kong stock market and highlighted the possible change in funding preference from internal finance to external derivative products. Therefore, this paper is designed to deal more extensively with the financing practice of Hong Kong listed companies and attempts to reason any difference between financing practices and rational financial hypotheses.en_US
