Abstract: In recent years more and more hotels in China realize to operate at low cost by Internet & E-commerce usage and get good benefit, but there are still limitation and shortcoming during Internet & E-commerce usage in hotel industry. Facing the chances and challenges of Internet & E-commerce, how to use Internet & E-commerce to provide much better services to meet the expectation of hotel customers who use Internet & E-commerce to purchase hotel products or services is still a big problem for hotel industry in China now, there are little research on how Internet & E-commerce affect hotel customers purchase hotel products or services, so This study attempts to find how Internet & E-commerce affect hotel customers purchase. A suvey of 300 hotel customers including 150 mainland Chinese hotel customers and 150 oversea(including HongKong and Taiwan) hotel customers shows that approximately 70 prercent of both 150 mainland Chinese hotel customers and 150 oversea(including HongKong and Taiwan) hotel customers use the Internet for searching hotel products or services , and approximately 40 precent of 150 mainland Chinese hotel customers and approximately 50 prercent of 150 oversea(including HongKong and Taiwan) hotel customers use the Internet for purchasing hotel products or services. Findings also indicate that more and more hotel customers likely use Internet & E-commerce to purchase hotel products or services.
