dcterms.abstractIn the recent times, organizational researchers highlighted the adverse effect of psychological contract violation on the fulfillment of work behaviors such as organizational citizenship behaviors and in-role behavior of employees. However, few of them explore the effect of leadership on employees under the violation of psychological contract. This study is presented to specifically focus on relationships of leader-member exchange leadership model with work behaviors of employees under psychological contract violation. Sample data of 180 full time working employees from a variety of industries in Hong Kong was used in the study. Results indicate employees with distinct quality of exchange relationships with leader exhibit work behaviors in a different way under the violation of psychological contract. Findings of the study are consistent with previous research work as well as provided implications for business managers and workplace practitioners.en_US
