Study on MPEG-4 video coding systemen_US
The MPEG-4 standard developed by the ISO Moving Pictures Experts Group (MPEG) for interactive multimedia applications offers content-based functionality providing the possibility of accessing and manipulating individual objects in the picture. Furthermore, MPEG-4 will offer possibilities for efficient video storage and for transmission over poor audio and video channels or mediums. The aim of this project is to evaluate various aspects in MPEG-4 video coding system. Different verification tests are carried out using computer simulations to compare the coding performance between MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MEPG-4. In addition, the performance of MPEG-4 video in frame based Coding and object based Coding will also be investigated.en_US
