Abstract: Computer communication in best effort characteristic can not satisfy modern applications or systems requirements. Many applications or systems today require Quality of Services support. A guaranteed bandwidth and reserved network resources is especially needed for multimedia or collaborated systems. The work demonstrated here is network resources reservation architecture to achieve network QoS. It includes modified socket layer's kernel and network reservation applications to form a network reservation system. Modified socket layer's kernel eliminates application timeout. Network reservation systems in contractual environment can provide capability for resources booking and admission control. As a result, it is able to reserve network resources and to allocate network bandwidth under user's request.
