dc.title | Evaluation of magnetic fields from lightning down conductors in a lightning protection systems | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | One of the problems peculiar to all electronic technologies is electromagnetic interference (EMI). All electrical and electronic devices emit electromagnetic fields that interfere with the operation of radio-communications devices or other electronics devices. Errors and maloperation of electronic devices due to inadequate EMC can result in hazardous situations with an increased risk of harm to people's health and safety. Many papers (i.e. [1], [2], [3] & [4]) discussed and calculated the electromagnetic fields generated by the equipments inside the building such as power cable, transmission line and traditional lightning protection system. However, the study on the electromagnetic fields by the early streamer emission lightning protection system, which the down-conductor is by co-axial down-conductor, is seldom covered. This project is aimed at studying and evaluating the magnetic fields of the early streamer emission lightning protection system during thunderstorm. | en_US |
